2011 Cannes Film Festival Closing Ceremony

The curtain went down on the Cannes Film Festival this weekend with a glamorous closing ceremony and awards presentation.
The Palme d'Or for Best Film to the producers of The Tree of Life and the Best Actress award for Melancholia went to Kirsten Dunst who teamed a white strapless embellished feathered gown from Chanel Spring 2011 haute couture collection with Valentino ‘Vintage’ pointed toe ankle strap pumps at the closing ceremony of the 2011 Cannes Film Festival.
She accesorized with a Chanel ‘Cascade De Diamants’ diamonds ring and wore her beautiful blonde hair in a messy updo for the event.
Kirsten Dunst took the “Best Actress Award” for her portrayal of a depressed woman at the end of the world in Lars von Trier’s ‘Melancholia’.

White Swan

Uma Thurman, popular American actress arrived for attending opening ceremony of the 64th Cannes Film Festival held at Palais des Festivals in Cannes, France on May 11. 41-year-old beautiful Hollywood babe stepped out donning an attention-grabbing white gown that looked like wedding gown. Her look reminds me of a beautiful white swan.

Beautiful eyebrows

Beautifully shaped eyebrows act as a frame to set off your eyes, just as your hairstyle sets off your face and a picture frame sets off a beautiful painting. It's no exaggeration to say that brow shape can make - or break - your look.

Well-shaped brows can also take years off your appearance. And although brow shapes may come and go the basics of shaping stay the same.

New hair colour for 2011

I've thought about this before, but only now I've decided to put pen to paper, or at least fingers to keyboard and come out and say it. Inside my Wardrobe works hard to provide you with inspiration for the year's trend, hence we're currently putting together the take on 2011's hairstyles and 2011's fashion trends. But hairstyles are only a part of the equation, another part is made up by the year's haircuts and another its hair colors. And what will they be, might you ask?

Before we discuss the year's hair colors it's first important to discuss the year's rule.

Project Ocean at Selfridges

The ocean is a source of food, a place for recreation, and it's beauty has inspired countless artists. But, it's under threat - from overfishing and poor fishing practices.

From 11 May to 12 June 2011, Selfridges is partnering with more than 20 enironmental and conservation groups to celebrate the beauty of the ocean, highlight the issue of over-fishing, help us all understand the threats to the ocean and make positive choices about the right fish to buy and eat.

A Sea of Blue

Blue has always been my favorite colour, but this Summer it takes another dimension.
Christian Dior

Intense blues make a serious splash for Spring/ Summer 2011. Rippling silks and slippery satins, drenched in oceanic hues, flowed throughout the collections.

Lace us up, Pucci

These incredible boots, first admired on the Emilio Pucci SS11 runway, would not be the most practical purchase. But then again, they would go with so many things and be suitable for so many occasions.

I believe every wardrobe should have room for some special shoes as well as the versatile ones.

And as far as sexy, elegant, bohemian Spring boots go... these Pucci's top the list.

The Royal Wedding's Hats

When it comes to a special occasion in British society, the occasion is not complete without a hat. There has to be a hat, it's part of the social fabric. The much-awaited royal wedding on April 29 was a triumph of a day for hat lovers. There were hats of all shapes, sizes and colors, every person was wearing one.
For most people, the hat is quite serious and frivolous at the same time. It completes the outfit and it's a finishing touch.

While all eyes were on Catherine Middleton's stunning Alexander McQueen gown and Cartier tiara during last friday's ceremony, guests showed up to the event in some amazing accessories of their own - hats!
British milliners had their biggest day of the year, as Victoria Beckham accesorized a dress she designed with a topper by Philip Treacey, as did Zara Philips, daughter of Princess Anne and many other guests.
Let's have a look at the Royal Wedding's Hat Gallery.
