Meet The 'Elfridges

Selfridges has launched a specialized shopping service to help customers through the Christmas season. The festively titled 'Elfridges initiative features a host of helpful elves dotted throughout the Oxford Street store, on hand to make present purchasing as stress-free as possible.

The stylish Santa's helpers - the boys are decked out in dapper suits, while the girls are in red Vivienne Westwood dresses and roller skates - will assist shoppers with everything from finding the perfect present, to carrying bags, hailing taxis and gift-wrapping. The elves will also be patrolling the 600,000-square-foot store to offer hot drinks, while an 80-strong flash-mob choir - complete with bell ringers - will pop up at unexpected moments to help boost morale and raise spirits.

To ensure you get the full 'Elfridges experience, you can book an appointment at
