Dolce & Gabbana’s Mediterranean Beauty Look

With the arrival of the new season comes new and brighter make up trends. For this Spring aside from the colors we associate with warmer weather and fun in the sun, we welcome a sexy make up trend that remains on the dark side of the spectrum: kohl rimmed eye.
This look was seen in many different shows and one of which was Dolce and Gabbana.

Inspired by the Sicilian summertime, the collection boasts of gorgeous and vibrant colors and it was make up artist Pat McGrath who created a beauty look to complement this. The warm Mediterranean beauty look is a perfect mix of vibrant and sultry and is very easy to recreate on your own.
Check out the steps right after the break.

Face

1. First prepare your face with a moisturizer or a make up primer. This keeps you skin healthy and will make your make up stay on longer.

2. Next, create that glowing flawless look. Take some liquid foundation, preferably one that’s luminous and blend it in using a foundation brush. We can suggest the new Lancôme Teint Visionnaire. Add an extra coat of foundation on your nose and forehead for a natural looking highlight. You can also use some concealer for areas that need extra attention like under your eyes.

Eyes

3. The eyes are given a warm glow by using gold and white eyeshadow. To do this, start by putting on a light brown shade of eye shadow all over your lids as a base. Put the gold eye shadow on top of this and blend it in using a blending brush and then apply the white eyeshadow as picture below.

4. Now it’s time to line the eyes. For this, you will need a liquid eyeliner in black and kohl eye pencil. Start by taking the black liquid eyeliner, line your upper lash line extending a bit on the outer corner of your eyes for that feline eyed look. Then with the kohl pencil, line your lower lashes to complete the look.

5. Finish your eyes by applying 2 layers of mascara.

Brows

6. This beauty look has naturally full looking eyebrows. The best way to get this is by using eyeshadow to fill in your eyebrows. Choose a shade that matches your hair and then use a brush to apply it on your brows. Use light and short strokes to really get that natural look

Cheeks

7. To really get that warm Mediterranean look, the cheeks are in a warm apricot tinge. All you have to do is to blend a light pink blush and an apricot blush. Using a blush brush, take the light pink blush and apply a light coat of it on your jawline. Next, take the apricot blush and then blend it over the light pink blush.

Lips

8. Two shades were also blended for the lips. To do this, you will need a classic brown shade and one that is red. Apply the brown first and then the red. More color was put on the cupid’s bow to make the lips look sexier.

This beauty look is a perfect look for spring: it’s warm with a hint of sexy thanks to the eyeliner. This is one look everyone should try along with these other noteworthy spring 2013 beauty looks for this coming season.
Hope you like it!
