Christian Dior Shoes Collection Winter 2011

"Vous ne prendez jamais suffisamment de précaution
dans le choix de vos chaussures.
Trop de femmes s'imaginent qu'elles ont peu d'importance,
mais c'est à ses pieds que vous jugerez
si une femme est élégante ou pas."

"You can never take too much care over the choice of your shoes.
Too many women think that they are unimportant,
but the real proof of an elegant woman is what is on her feet"

The Ombre Absolue Palette case is adorned with a shower of roses and unveils 4 beautiful Doll Eyes harmonies. Nu, Pop, Glam or Romance, each palettes hides four precious colours, for irresistible doll eyes! Inspired by professional make-up artists' techniques, Lancôme introduces the Ombre Absolue Palette. Each palette offers 4 beautifully smooth-shades. The palette comes with three precision, easy to use applicators to create many different make-up looks - from the most natural to the most dramatic - in 4 easy steps:

The 60's Revival

We’ve been hinting at a 60s revival for a while now. We even suggest you start picking up some vintage pieces (if you don't have them yet). The 70s have had their fling on the dance floor and come 2012 will be stepping softly aside, not to completely go away or experience a backlash (the two eras are too close together for that) but to allow the decade’s predecessor, the swinging 60s, some time in the limelight. As a trend some designers have whispered its return; others – influencers like Miuccia Prada and Christopher Bailey – have propelled it.

Diesel Island

Diesel
There are no water shortages on Diesel Island, because everyone showers in groups. All people are welcome, and the only energy this country exports is of the sexual kind. Yes, it’s another cheeky campaign from Diesel. In this fall/ winter 2011 campaign Diesel brings their brand of urban cool to a new Island settlement where the economy isn’t in crisis, where no systems are adopted that end in ism, and where reality shows don’t exist. The only downside to the Island is that it’s fictional. But while Diesel’s Island may not be real, the clothing certainly is. And if you want to pick up your new fix of denim and casual wear then the next best thing to an Island ticket is spending money.

She's Got The Look!

The smoky eye is a beauty classic but we love this modern twist that MAC Senior Make-up Artist Lynsey Alexander created using bright cobalt blue. "If you have fun with your make-up and try a vibrant colour like cobalt blue, bright purple or a metallic brown you can really change your eye colour and bring out your best features," says Lynsey. We love it because it's young, fresh and fun. We dare you to give it a go! We already did!
Step 1
LINE AND DEFINE: Line the whole eye with MAC Eye Kohl pencil in Blooz and smudge all around the lashes to give a lovely dark denim stain. Keep inside the waterline. According to Lynsey "Using pencil instead of eye shadow gives an airbrushed effect and gives very soft edges, which looks more modern and lived-in."
Step 2
BOLD EYES: "To make this look modern use bold, block eye colours and stretch them almost up to the brow. On the lid I worked a mixture of MAC Fresh Water eye shadow and in the socket line MAC Plumage eye shadow. In the corners I used a touch of MAC Electric Eel – which gives a neon kick", says Lynsey.

Step 3
LASHES: Coat your top and bottom lashes with MAC Black Pro Lash Mascara and build it up. "If you keep your eye closed it gets top and bottom together and you don’t have to fiddle about – but wiggle the brush so that you coat them properly. Lighten the brows by combing them with a brow brush and using a little concealer.

Step 4
LIPS: You want to keep the lips clean and natural so that you don’t detract from the drama of the eye make-up. Linsey used MAC Lipstick in Blankety and then a clear gloss over the top.
