Diamonds Bath

Take one of the fashion world’s top models of the moment, ice her up with sparkling fine jewellery from the usual array of brands – preferably styled with more skin than clothing – and shoot a series of up-close portraits. This seems a clockwork formula for Vogue Paris’ Bijoux segments. Nonetheless, Magdalena Frackowiak is particularly and faultlessly gorgeous in the March 2012 issue, styled by Verinique Didry and photographed by Knoepfel & Indlekofer.

One of a kind

Giuseppe Zanotti has created possibly the world's most precious shoes - a one-off, unique, pair of diamond encrusted, satin heels, to be worn at Cannes Film Festival today by Anja Rubik.

In a new collaboration with Chopard, the Italian-born designer's latest creation comprises rose gold chains, 22 carats of diamonds, 134 carats of rubellites and 199 carats of pink sapphires. Zanotti has also made a pair of matching rose gold, pink sapphire and diamond hoop earrings.

Both items will be auctioned at amfAR's Cinema Against AIDS gala tonight.

Diamond slippers

Thinking of buying some new slippers? Here's my choice!

The world's most expensive pair of shoes has been created by House of Borgezie.
This masterpiece, handcrafted from solid gold or platinum, is encrusted with 2200 hand-set brilliant-cut diamonds weighing 30 carats in total. Retail price is £140,000.

Creator Christopher Michael Shellis, a British jewellery designer, decided to make the shoes to "create a unique form of jewellery which you can wear on your feet", but the brand has yet to sell a pair.

House of Borgezie offers an "eternity guarantee" - which lasts up to 1,000 years - and the shoes have a removable sole and heel which can be replaced to keep this investment looking pristine. So far only 5 pairs have been created and Christopher Shellis asserts that no more than 50 will be available worldwide to ensure exclusivity. Hurry up to make part of this group!
